Network softwarization involves the use of several key technologies, including network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN). NFV allows network functions such as routing, switching, and firewalling to be implemented as software on virtual machines, rather than as physical devices. SDN enables network administrators to manage network traffic flows and configure network devices through software, rather than through manual configuration of individual devices.
